VENUS & ADONIS

27th - 28th January 2017, 7:30 pm

St Giles-in-the-Fields, WC2H 8LG (See map)

The first in our new FORUM series, Beauty Bawdy & Bloody: Venus and Adonis from Ovid to Shakespeare will be a dramatised reading of Shakespeare's seldom-performed piece followed by an open-floor discussion on the modernity of Ovid's classic tale.

We are delighted to welcome Dr Charles Moseley, fellow and tutor of Hughes Hall and professor of Classics and Literature at the University of Cambridge. Dr Moseley will lead the discussion, in which we encourage you to participate whether you are new to the work or an expert.

Book now for this strictly limited run.
